An exciting opportunity has arisen to employ a Compliance Officer responsible for the electrical compliance of Perth and Kinross Council’s property estate.
A key part of the role will be to manage the electrical fixed wiring testing and inspection programme to circa 60 properties per annum.
The post holder will also be expected to take an active role in the contract management of the electrical service contracts, including undertaking compliance audits to ensure works are completed in accordance with the contract specification.
The role will include working with Property colleagues involved in new build projects and refurbishment of existing properties such as schools, libraries, leisure centres and other public buildings to ensure a forward thinking approach to the Planned Preventative Maintenance.
As part of the Compliance Team you will be provided with an opportunity to make a positive and effective contribution to ensure the statutory compliance of the property estate. Working within a multidisciplinary department comprising Architects, Engineers, Energy Officers, Surveyors and Maintenance staff you will engage effectively with a wide and diverse audience including Technical and non-Technical.

It is expected that the individual will be suitably qualified with membership of a Professional or trade body. A good working knowledge in the use of computer packages including Microsoft applications and asset management systems would also be advantageous.
We are looking for an individual who has relevant industry experience relating to the specific Electrical Engineering disciplines within a Building Services Environment. To undertake the role we require excellent planning and organisational skills along with the ability to ensure target deadlines are achieved. You will be self-motivated and confident with excellent communication skills. Supervisory skills are required as the post holder will be responsible for managing other members of the compliance team.
