Multi-site role overseeing HSE and Quality compliance. Working for a leading industrial services provider.
Our client is a market leading industrial services provider who are recruiting a Compliance Manager, responsible for all HSE and Quality matters across two sites in the North West.
The Compliance Manager will be responsible for bringing the team together to ensure ongoing regulatory and policy compliance with regards to H&S, transport, Product Management, process management and other legal requirements.
Ensure that health and safety policies are implemented, understood and complied with at site.
Implement and undertake health and safety audits (when required).
Train all new employees in basic health and safety and manual handling.
Ensure SSOW, safety bulletins and H&S manual updates are communicated and trained to relevant employees then documented on training record card.
Act as first line support to the General Manager on all health and safety, compliance and quality issues.
Take personal ownership for the investigation and management of all accidents on site, compiling accident statistics and looking at ways to reduce/improve these rates.
Take control of COSHH files at site.
Ensure site is clean and review for Fire risk and security and drive improvement on H&S across the site.
Ensure the company value of safety - 'everyone goes home safely every day' is understood and part of the culture at site.
Complete risk assessments at customer premises as needed to ensure our teams are safe at work.
Ensure transport policy is adhered to at site.
Ensure driver hours are recorded and drivers operate within all legislative requirements - driver hours, rest periods, tachographs, cpc training.
Ensure driving licence checks are completed and all drivers hold the relevant and appropriate driving licence.
Complete transport audits (when required).
Ensure the Product Management policy is implemented.
Audit and report on Product Management procedures at the specified frequency.
Ensure all departments recognise, value and adhere to the textile disciplines.
Lead the on boarding/off boarding process to ensure compliance with and for our assets.
Ensure quality standards are trained, understood and adhered to by all employees.
Audit quality of linen on a spot check basis by reviewing product, machinery and process.
Ensure products are in line with our quality standards.
Work with on-site Senior Team to regularly review procedures and develop and implement measures to continuously improve site practices.
Participate in audit programmes/off site compliance when required.
Produce management reports/KPIs/statistics on a regular basis to monitor success.
To be considered for this Compliance Manager role my client is looking for:
Educated to degree level or equivalent and/or knowledge in quality systems auditing and Health & Safety, with a track record of success ideally within a manufacturing and production/service industry.
Knowledge of implementing continuous improvement programmes.
Quality Assurance qualification.
Auditing qualification desirable.
NEBOSH or equivalent would be desirable.
Good written and verbal skills.
Ability to listen to and influence peer group and department team members to build and lead effective working.
Good attention to detail and the ability to analyse data and interpret the information effectively to continuously improve the department and/or team.
Ability to organise self and others to ensure tasks are carried out in a timely manner.
Knowledge of working in a highly focused customer service environment.
IT Literate (Microsoft Office).
Lean - Yellow Belt qualification.
£30,000 to £35,000 plus car plus package
