Compliance Lead Manager

My client are on the lookout for a Compliance Lead Manager to input into and support the inclusion of compliance work within hard and soft services budgets and contracts. You will report directly to the Corporate Head of Operations and be able to provide strong leadership skills.

Main Duties

  • Facilitate change and innovation, participating in a team culture that encourages innovative, smart and collaborative working.
  • Commissions services and activities to secure the best outcomes for service users and deliver optimum value for money, in line with the Council's commissioning and contract management frameworks.
  • Builds strong working partnerships across the public, private and voluntary sectors to enable the service to be delivered in an outcome-focused and efficient way
  • Develop and deliver an effective compliance strategy that delivers safety, quality and value for money, and support the optimisation of approved budgets for compliance and ensure timescales are met for rectification of any non-compliance's
  • Liaise with and give advice and guidance on the preparation of compliance plans in conjunction with colleagues and the wider Health & Safety function, coordinating and managing delivery of compliance activities across the Council

Key Skills

  • Demonstrate extensive specialist knowledge and proven experience in compliance, including hard and soft FM
  • Possess some knowledge of the broader corporate landlord agenda and national/regional/local priorities around estate management, sustainability and asset utilisation
  • Have strong knowledge of property legislation and its strategic application, as well as some project management experience
  • Have knowledge of business cases and ability to input into and contribute to FM initiatives from a compliance perspective
  • Experience working within a local authority or housing association is necessary


  • 300-350 a day umbrella, depending on experience
  • Inside IR35
