A Global organisation with a well-known brand is seeking a Compliance Coordinator to support the organisation based in Milton Keynes.

The role of Compliance Coordinator reports to the Tax and Compliance Manager and is there to support the Company in meeting its compliance obligations, from both external regulatory and internal governance perspective. This will involve support and implementation of a full and comprehensive compliance framework within the business and contribute to the further development of internal controls, risk monitoring activities and KRI’s, along with provide compliance-related advice to colleagues, management and cross functional project teams, as well as compliance with its data protection responsibilities, including the maintenance of data registers and impact assessments. The role will grow from the following:

  • Support the overall development of the Compliance function
  • Develop guidelines, instructions and procedures to support policies and steering documents
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of policies and procedures and associated controls
  • Support the development of key internal controls and associated monitoring programmes
  • Proactively identify areas of risk and/or compliance failure
  • Help to develop a monitoring and reporting programme for KRIs to help mitigate risk
  • Maintain register of key processes and impact assessments as part of Business Continuity plans
  • Maintain organisational risk registers, including Criminal Finances Act and GDPR/DPA 2018
  • Maintain register of processing activities in accordance with GDPR/DPA 2018
  • Assist with general data protection responsibilities, such as subject access requests and ICO interaction
  • Prepare summaries of policy review changes for submission to the Board
  • Maintain records and prepare regular updates for Head Office function

For the role of Compliance Coordinator, you will ideally have an insurance background or experience of working within financial services. You will need to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a compliance related role, ideally knowledge of the FCA regulations, have strong project management skills and be a logical thinker. In addition, they will also be seeking someone who is self-motivated, organised with the ability to juggle deadlines.

Excellent writing and reading comprehension skills are required with the role, along with the ability to communicate key compliance concepts to all levels of the organisation and demonstrate strong MS Office skills.
