Job Title: Compliance Analyst - 12-month FTC

Salary: £40,000

Location: London

Would you like to work for one of the main regulators of the energy trading arrangements for the wholesale electricity market? Do you have operational experience at an energy Supplier, Supplier Agent along with experience of analysing data to solve business problems? The Compliance Analyst is a key role within the project team that is delivering a Performance Assurance Framework review, dedicated support to the project’s subject matter experts. The role will involve a mix of data analysis, stakeholder management, supporting workshops and report writing. Following completion of the project, the role will be encompassed into the Compliance Team which is responsible for delivering assurance techniques such as Error and Failure Resolution, Trading Disputes and Technical Assurance audits.   • Support the project team in the organisation and facilitation of project workshops, including minute taking
  • Support the risk evaluation activities, by populating and managing a risk log based on discussions with SMEs, ensuring consistency and accuracy of treatment of risks
  • Managing stakeholder communication through briefing notes, website updates and other forms of communication
  • Draft and deliver project updates to Panel committees and internal and external stakeholders
  • Analysing data and documenting findings
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the PAF and its implementation
  • Take responsibility for the production of specific project deliverables
  • Proactively contribute to delivery of the PAF review and the Operation’s wider objectives by demonstrating corporate values
  • Compliance with project methodology
  • Able to use knowledge of the PAF processes and data to produce high quality deliverables
  • Engage and develop strong working relationships with teams from across the company
  • Proactively promote positive and professional relationships with customers, including BSC Committees, external groups, BSC Parties and Party Agents
  • Provide accurate and credible advice to colleagues on the PAF and the PAF review

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Operational experience at an energy Supplier, Supplier Agent or any other organisation with operational involvement in energy processes
  • Experience analysing data to solve business problems
  • Understanding of SQL and analysing large and complex datasets
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly analysing data using Excel
  • Able to work independently and take responsibility for tasks delivered
  • Strong interpersonal skills Knowledge of electricity Settlement processes (change of Supplier, change of Measurement Class etc.)
  • An understanding of the role of the Performance Assurance Board
  • Experience in project planning and administration using PRINCE2 methodology
