We need several Complex Managers for one of the largest and most successful leisure and holiday businesses in the UK. My client has a high volume hospitality operation with an average turnover of up to £2 million and on their biggest sites across a 38 week trading period it could reach £6 million. You would be responsible for managing numerous bar and catering outlets throughout the operation. For example, depending on the specific site, you could be managing two show bars with capacity of up to 1000 people, fresh food restaurant, branded restaurants including Burger King, Papa Johns, Costa Coffee, a branded pub/diner, fish and chip shop, hot dog concession and numerous vending outlets.You would be working for a company recognised as one of the very best employers in the UK.
You will have overall responsibility for budgeting. You will have to work under considerable pressure during the peak season.You will be given a huge amount of autonomy to meet and exceed your budget so we need individuals who are prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that the team of up to 8 managers and deputies as well as full and part time complement of up to 100 staff all work to achieve the Complex targets. My client needs you to ensure the overall experience of the 5000 or so holidaymakers who come onto the park every week in peak season is excellent across all departments. The holidaymaker feedback surveys will need to show excellent results.
You must have a proven track record of running multiple high volume retail or leisure operations, have outstanding leadership qualities and communication skills and masses of personality. Ideally you will have a strong sales background and be able to drive sales through pro-active marketing. Strong Profit and Loss experience is essential since the key to success is that you can deliver and manage both GPs and bottom line profit across the park. You will also need to demonstrate excellent people-management and administrative skills.
You must be prepared to relocate to a number of the coastal holiday parks within your region. Accommodation on site is available for a period to enable the smooth transition of any relocation.
The rewards for outperforming are second to none and it would be realistic to expect a bonus of at least 20% of basic salary for beating your bottom line targets and achieving personal KPI’s.
