Complex health care support worker

Bradshaw Bretton are looking to grow its team of valued and Experienced Care Support Worker in Leeds and surrounding areas.

We are currently looking for Healthcare Assistant to help support a number of children and young adults with their health care needs in the community setting ; both in their own home and respite centres.

We would like to meet carers who have flexible availability, that are willing to cover a selection of shifts on a rota basis and who would like to be part of a service that values the families we care for, our workers commitment to vocational values and the importance of professional integrity.

This position can be on a part time, full time or flexible basis and staff are able to work with multiple clients in order to offer a varied workload whilst enabling workers to achieve their desired number of hours.

Staff will be required to complete varied tasks such as:

- Personal Care

- Manual handling

- Tracheostomy Care

- Ventilation management

- Suction

- Nebuliser therapy

- Medication Administration

- Enteral feeding / PEG management

- Oxygen therapy / Administration

- Seizure Management

- Social interaction / play

- Completing documentation and paperwork

- Liaising with families and professionals

Applicants must have some previous clinical experience (6 months minimum preferred) which may include experience supporting a number of complex interventions i.e. PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, ventilation, suctioning, epilepsy (with emergency medication), oxygen therapy, nebulisers etc. A degree of previous health care related experience is essential, but full training and/ or refreshment in specific clinical areas can be provided for the right candidate(s)
