About the role
Interserve Healthcare is a leading care provider who puts care at the heart of everything we do. We support a range of clients varying in age and care requirements which can include mental health, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and clients with more complex clinical needs.
We are seeking experienced Care Assistants to work with our young female client living in the family home in Braintree, Essex. We are seeking staff who can commit to regular shifts (hours: 09.00 - 21.00) working on a rolling rota basis.
Our client has severe spastic quadriplegia as a result of a neuro-migration defect of the brain and is fully dependent on Care Assistant for all her needs. She also has epilepsy, reflux and restricted respiration. She has a PEG and also has a ventilator at night. She uses a postural sleep system to counter abnormal extensions and primitive reflexes, which restrict breathing whilst asleep. Our client is non-verbal and communicates via use of head/eye pointing as a preferred method.
She requires Carers for all her care needs and to enable her to access social and community events, including adult learning classes.
You will be working alongside a live-in worker.
