This is an incredibly varied role, covering all aspects of finance. You'll be working for a subsidiary of a large, stable, growing, multifaceted business.
You will take responsibility for a £20m t/o business, manage a small accounts team and look after all aspects of day to day accounts work while reporting to the Group Financial Controller based at the Headoffice.
You'll drive process efficiencies and controls, including the use of systems - you should be a whizz is Excel and systems generally, knowledge of Sox will be useful.
You'll need to be proactive in looking for continuous improvement for those processes, controls and systems and be happy to make recommendations as you see fit.
There'll be more standard; month-end reporting, accruals, prepayments, journals, balance sheet reconciliations, along with budget work and forecasting.
There will be the opportunity to progress within the business.
Ideally, you will be an accountant, qualification isn't key, happy to hear from fully qualified - ACA, ACCA, CIMA, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
