We require a community psychiatric nurse to take on a role joining a community mental health team based in Carlisle. This team care for working age adults who are experiencing serious problems in their mental health. You will be responsible for managing a case load, and identifying the correct methods of care for the service users.

To be successful in this role you must display excellent skills in communication and use your knowledge to provide high quality care to the service users who will rely on your help. Day to day tasks in this role would include: supporting services, providing risk assessments, creating care plans and making referrals.

The role as a community psychiatric nurse is to begin work as soon as possible and is due to run until April 2019 with the possibility of extension. The role is full time and working hours per week are 30-37.5 Monday-Friday. The role is for a band 6 nurse and is based in Carlisle.

As a community psychiatric nurse working for this client your duties will include:

Working along side other services to help patients including, social workers, OT's and consultant psychiatrists
*Spending time with regular patients who require their medication to be administered within the clinic
*Carrying a caseload and helping with care plans for patients
*Managing psychoeducation with patients
*Supporting patients to work towards living independently within the community
*Providing high quality care to help prevent patient hospital admissions

The minimum requirements for this role are:

- NMC registered
- Registered Mental Health Nurse
