Job Title: Community Physiotherapist

Grade: Band 5, 6, or 7

Trust: Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust

Location: Newfield House, CV1 4NZ

Ward/Dept: Planned Therapies

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08.30-16.30 (ideally full time but part time can be considered)

Pay rate: Starting from £16.84

Placement Length: 3 months with potential to extend

Are you highly motivated and committed with excellent attention to detail and strong communication? If so, Coventry & Warwickshire are looking to recruit a dynamic, passionate, and experienced community physiotherapist to join their team on a long-term placement.

The postholder will assess and treat patients in their own homes with a variety of conditions including neurological, orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, frailty, care of the elderly, management of long-term conditions, respiratory and falls. Interventions will be patient centres focusing on specific goals with the patients completing onward referrals as required. The postholder will work as part of an MDT with OTs and therapy assistants with clinical supervision regularly provided to support with caseload management.

High levels of both written and oral communication are essential to this post with the ability to deliver or discuss difficult diagnosis and prognosis with tact, empathy, managing distressed or aggressive patients or carers/relatives. The post holder must be able to communicate accurate and sensitive information to patients, carers, and relatives as well as within their own team & colleagues. Written reports and discharge letters to GPs are also a requirement of the role.

Essential Requirements:

  • Grad Dip/BSc Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Experience of community work
  • Experience of working with patients with a wide range of conditions
  • Driving license & access to car

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of:

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust provides a range of physical, mental health and learning disability services to children and adults across Coventry, Warwickshire, and Solihull.
