Community Mental Health Nurses

This post is only open to those candidates who already have their NMC registration in place and have successfully completed the preceptorship programme. Please note: Newly qualified applicants or those due to qualify will be recruited via a separate process.

One of these posts is being advertised to address a temporary need for 12 months, however the Trust has made the commitment to offer the successful applicant a permanent contract with the Trust. In the event that the need for this post ends, a suitable alternative post will be offered. Applicants should be aware that alternatives may require some flexibility on role and/or location.

We are currently looking to recruit highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurses to join the North Durham Psychosis Team based at Chester Le Street Health Centre. We can offer x1 full time, permanent position and x1 full time, temporary for 12 months position (subject to return of the substantive post holder).

You will be working as a Care Co-ordinator for a group of service users and will manage a defined caseload with the support of a Senior Community Mental Health Practitioners. The team offers a supportive and friendly workplace in which clinicians are encouraged to develop their professional interests, with access to training and regular supervision and support.
