We are very excited to be able to offer this band 5 nursing post within the Tewkesbury Recovery team. We are a friendly, welcoming and very supportive team. We are a highly performing and successful multidisciplinary team delivering high quality, person centred assessment and treatment.The Recovery Team works with Adults of Working Age (18 and over) with serious mental health problems, helping them towards better health outcomes and Recovery.
Our team offers Secondary Mental Health Care to GP Surgeries covering catchment areas including Bishops Cleeve, Tewkesbury, Winchcombe, Bredon and Cheltenham. We are fortunate to have our own base site at Avon House with ample parking and easy access to Cheltenham and Gloucester and the M5 motorway, giving access to Wales, the North, London, Bristol and Birmingham.
Tewkesbury is a beautiful Mediaeval Town with a rich history and famously the site of the Wars of The Roses Battle of Tewkesbury in 1471. The town is home to The Roses Theatre, Tewkesbury Abbey, the convergence of the Rivers Avon and Severn and has a delightful High Street. Tewkesbury is nestled in the north of Gloucestershire with the Cotswold’s and Worcestershire on its doorstep. The Forest of Dean and Cheltenham Race Course are within driving distance. We are also fortunate to have a number of primary schools rated as Outstanding and Good and a High School which is rated Good by Ofsted in the area.
