The post holder will provide highly specialised clinical expertise, knowledge and skills in the promotion and maintenance of optimum health for adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs.
The charge nurse will direct, deploy and supervise the activities of the junior nursing staff within a specified geographical area, to ensure that prescribed nursing care is carried out within the available resource: Establish and maintain effective communication links within a multi agency/disciplinary framework, involving the client, carers, relatives and other agencies. The post holder will be expected to assume relevant duties in the absence of the Clinical Team Leader
Essential qualifications and experience :
Must be a first level registered nurse RNLD. With evidence of proven leadership skills and competent technical, specialist and professional knowledge within the field of learning disabilities.
