This is an exciting time to join a dynamic community fundraising team as they look to develop and grow new fundraising support from third party adoptions and supporter groups alongside a well-established volunteer base.
This role will be responsible for developing and maximising income from a range of activities, supporting the Community Fundraising Manager in the region to achieve agreed financial targets. You will be responsible for managing a number of established and exciting social events and the logistics for one long distance walking event. You will also assume responsibility for some existing fundraising groups and all aspects of your role will focus on new business development through the cultivation of supporters and volunteers and new regional partnerships.
The area covered by the London and South East team comprises of London, Kent, Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire.
To assist the Community Fundraising Manager in the development and management of volunteer fundraising in the region, achieving agreed financial targets.
To support, motivate and develop new and existing committees and fundraising groups.
To research, identify and develop new fundraising opportunities and areas of potential support, in line with the Community Fundraising strategy.
To be responsible for specific projects and events as agreed with the Community Fundraising Manager.
The area covered by the London and South East team comprises London, Kent, Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a successful track record of working in a similar community fundraising position. You will have the ability to organise and prioritise a busy and varied workload and have excellent customer service, communication, event management and IT skills. You must be prepared to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends and travel throughout the region.
Experience of working in a community fundraising environment, meeting or exceeding income targets.
An appreciation of different methods of fundraising in the charity sector
Excellent customer service skills polite, efficient and well organised
Experience of organising and prioritising a busy and varied workload
Working as part of a flexible team
