Community Engagement Project Co-ordinator
Working in and around Kings Lynn and Downham Market, you be responsible for delivering the remaining 13 months of a three year Community Empowerment Project funded by the People’s Health Trust.
We exist to make this country a better place for disabled people and their families, so that they can enjoy the same opportunities as everyone else.
We provide support, information and advice to more than 250,000 disabled people and their families every year. We raise awareness of the issues that matter. By working for us you will be supporting us to drive social change across society.
Working in and around Kings Lynn and Downham Market, you will be responsible for delivering the remaining 13 months of a three year Community Empowerment Project funded by the People’s Health Trust.
You will support disabled people and their families to identify and design solutions that will improve their health and wellbeing, develop broader social connections and make their local community a place where everyone can thrive and contribute.
A key part of your role will be to regularly measure, review and communicate the benefits this work is having on the community.
We’re looking for an individual with experience of community development and previous success in supporting individuals and groups to make their local community a better place for everyone.
You will be confident working in local communities, building and developing relationships with a wide variety of people, groups and organisations.
Your ability to design and facilitate community engagement events will mean that a diverse range of people will want to get involved in opportunities to develop their local community.
Whilst you will be part of a team, day to day you will be working independently in the local community. Therefore, you will be comfortable planning your own workload, working with minimal supervision and managing an allocated budget.
