We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Community Children's Nurse to become part of the Oban, Lorn and Isles (OLI) and Mid Argyll, Kintyre and Islay (MAKI) Children and Families Health Team.
You will deliver care to service users and families within the caseload from any of the Specialist Community Paediatric pathways (CCN Home / ASL, Vulnerability and Complex Disability). You will be expected to provide an accessible, appropriate, high quality, effective Specialist Community Paediatric Nursing service to the 0-19 year age group in the community, by working in partnership with service users, care providers and other agencies. You will also participate in health improvement / health promotion activities as delegated by the Consultant Nurse / Team Leader.
An essential requirement for the post is a Registered Paediatric Nurse qualification and NMC registration. Holding current full professional registration is an essential requirement for the post. You should be able to evidence continuing professional development and an ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. You should have excellent IT, communication and problem solving skills while having relevant experience working with children and young people.
You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively in various work locations within Argyll & Bute, to meet the operational requirements of the service.
