About us:

London Teaching Pool is a CQC registered agency and we are currently seeking Health Care Assistants to work on an exciting new community care domiciliary project based in Essex in Braintree.  It is a seven-day service with shifts available from Monday to Sunday with flexible working hours. The hours differ depending on the packages that are available for the patients requiring care. It is also essential that you are a car driver and have access to your own vehicle.  

As the packages cater for different needs you must be able to work with the following:

Personal Care  
Mental Health Support
SEN Support  
Elderly Rehabilitation  

We are recruiting a team of thirty or more carers to be included in this fast-paced project. The project has progression opportunities for reliable, experienced and compassionate individuals with clear career progression routes which means as the company continues to grow, you grow with it.    

What we expect from you:  

To provide high standards of personal care to service users in the community    
Help with meal times    
Prompting medication    
To provide person centred care
To deliver care to service users as directed by care plan
To record client’s care notes
To provide personal care to service users whilst respecting their privacy and dignity
To provide general house-keeping duties (i.e. laundry)
To observe and report any changes in the service user’s care needs
To accompany the clients to appointments, trips out and social activities
To provide companionship to prevent loneliness
To assist with shopping

Required qualifications and experience:

Be qualified to NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (preferable)
To be reliable, punctual and honest    
Previous care experience is essential   
Full driving licence with use of your own vehicle is essential
