Community and Event Fundraising Officer

We're looking for two motivated Community and Events Fundraising Officers to join a well-respected fundraising team with a leading national health charity where you will be responsible for full project management of a range of community and events activities. The Company
This is an exciting time to join the charity as they launch a new five-year organisational strategy with high aspirations; they now need brilliant people to help them achieve their ambitious fundraising goals.

The Role
In this role, youll be responsible for delivering current fundraising products to target, and for innovating, developing and delivering new fundraising activities. Youll also be monitoring and evaluating all products to create opportunities for future growth. This role is customer-focused, and youll spend lots of time stewarding our amazing supporters to maximise their fundraising.

The portfolio is well-established and includes a mixture of community and events activities, including Walks, runs, cycles and challenges, UK and overseas treks and fantastic bespoke events. Youll have contact with event participants and supporters and manage relationships with a number of third party agencies, while working with other colleagues in the Community and Events team.

Main Duties
To raise income for the charity from community and events fundraising activities as per agreed objectives and targets.
To research, plan, market, develop and evaluate a portfolio of events and community fundraising activities.
To ensure the provision of excellent supporter care to ensure long term commitment.
To contribute to the overall implementation of the Community and Events teams objectives.

The Candidate
Experience of working in an events and/or community fundraising environment
Experience of a supporter database such as Raisers Edge
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate well with a broad range of people
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of media and audiences
Good organisational and workload management skills, with the ability to prioritise, manage a busy workload and meet deadlines
