Community Addiction Nurse

An opportunity has arisen to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and resourceful community addiction nurse to join the team in delivering exceptional care to service users in Oban.

We are seeking to appoint an individual with the ability and commitment to work as part of an integrated health and social care team.

You should possess a good clinical knowledge with evidence of continuing professional development, good interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver safe, effective and evidence based care.

The main focus of this position is to continue the non medical prescribing clinic within Oban as well as supporting the shared care clinic currently administered through Lorn Medical Practice. Given this the preferred candidate as well as being a first level registered mental health nurse will either already be trained and registered with the NMC as a non medical prescriber or be willing to undertake this training on appointment.

Significant post registration experience is required and relevant experience in the addiction field is essential.
