A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our client, a leading London University, as a Communications Officer on a long term, part time temporary basis. The Communications Officer will assist the team with website management, communications strategies and social media management.

Communications Officer Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and evaluate the departments communication strategies
Monitoring and evaluating all communications activity and providing feedback to the department’s Senior Leadership Team
Work with staff and external relations to enhance the departments’ website, advising on best practice and to ensure coherence across the departments’ site
Work with the PR Manager to raise the profile of the department, identifying relevant research and student success stories
Delivering coherent and consistent internal / external communications, as well as marketing and media matters, across the whole department
Drafting and editing documents for key marketing materials including newsletters, prospectuses, the annual review and e-shots
Proofreading and cross-checking all communications to be released to be released to parents and other external parties
Communications Officer Key Skills and Experience:
At least two years of Communication experience, ideally within the Higher Education sector
Educated to a first degree or equivalent
Good organisational skills to be able to manage a demanding and varied workload
Strong IT skills, including experience of and skill in composing and managing web content within a content management system and / or use of HTML
Excellent time management, communication and organisational skills
