About the role
We are currently looking for an experienced stakeholder and partnership manager to join a challenging and largescale public service delivery and transformation project in the Defence sector. The role-holder will manage the development, implementation and subsequent coordination of the project's stakeholder management plans across a broad range of Defence, external public and commercial third parties. This is a challenging and extremely varied role that requires you to be flexible, agile and self-motivated, working alongside senior and external stakeholder contacts on a local, regional and national basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a large-scale Defence Change & Transformation project with international growth prospects, set within a framework of essential & critical services with diverse assets in a regulated environment & with complex stakeholder management relationships.
What you will do:
Support the Managing Director in the design and development of the stakeholder management component of the business' communications strategy
Assist with the development and manage implementation of the business' client and key stakeholder management plans
Manage the sustainable execution and co-ordination of the business' client and key stakeholder management programmes across Defence and with related third parties (eg: Local Fire and Rescue Services, Trade Unions, key suppliers and sub-contractors etc.)
Support the Managing Director, Senior Leadership Team and the Transformation Team in their need to effectively initiate engagement and maintain positive relations with the full range of Service / Defence and commercial stakeholders
Monitor the management of (potential) stakeholder related issues, ranging from oversight of complaints and grievances to the stewardship of customer satisfaction surveys
Create a stakeholder management regime that effectively supports systematic and timely engagement with all relevant stakeholder groups
Support the Managing Director in their drive to embed the principles of BS11000 into delivery of the service
Manage and operate to Capita's standards in all elements of governance and reporting
To maintain awareness and ensure adherence to Defence, regulatory and industry matters.
Your experience will include:
Communications/stakeholder engagement experience in a complex stakeholder environment
Positive engagement and the development of friendly relations with a broad range of stakeholders in a live/operational environment
Experience of work in a diverse or complex stakeholder environment with dependencies on functions and/or organisations out with your direct control
A proven ability to listen coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills
Developed awareness, if not experience of the Defence (and / or to a lesser extent, emergency services) environment
