We're changing the way we work and looking to recruit Communication Support Workers (2 posts), working to ensure that service users are supported and safeguarded to the correct levels at all times. Reporting to the Registered Manager you will aid in the communication and support for young adult residents with hearing impairments. All applicants will be ideally qualified to Level 3 in BSL/British Sign Language and have prior experience of working with complex needs. You will be the first port of call providing necessary advice and support. This role will involve support, some admin and training management.

Knowledge of supporting vulnerable people with learning disabilities and complex needs is essential, our ideal team members are flexible, empathetic with a calm and efficient approach to work. Situations can sometimes be difficult and challenging, so you’ll need to be non-judgemental, with a sensitive approach.
At a practical level, you’ll need good IT and communication skills including numeracy and literacy in order to keep accurate records. You must also be fit enough to take on the more physical aspects of the job.
Gross salaries for Communication Support Worker - £21,528 (£10.35 per hour) - £24,753 (£11.54 per hour)*
*dependant upon experience, outlook, ambition and qualifications
