As a Commis Chef you will assist our chefs with the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with company guidelines and ensuring high standards of preparation, presentation and quality of food at all times.
With over 1000 guests per week in peak season, catering for special dietary requirements can be a challenge and you would need to ensure that these specific requirements are consistently met according to the needs of our guests and staff.
As part of this role you will be required to work within the catering budgets set by the company, with guidance from our Head Chef. You will also work closely alongside the chefs in all aspects of their role including organising stock control (stock take, receiving and checking supplies).
An additional key part of the role will be ensuring that HACCP records are maintained correctly and on time and that the highest levels of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen, stores and back of house areas are maintained.We are looking for someone who is…

- NVQ or equivalent qualification in a catering related role and valid food hygiene certificate
We are looking for a Commis Chef who has experience of working in a busy kitchen, and who is used to dealing with high volumes.
You must be enthusiastic and have a passion for the industry. This role is based at our centre Condover Hall, which is in Shrewsbury, as this vacancy isn’t residential, you would need to be able to get to work easily.
