Nelson Permanent Placements are currently representing our client who is a leading provider of IT, communications and cloud solutions. An opportunity has arose for a Commercial Account Manager to join the team and drive the sales for existing customers in the Commercial Sector across the UK.

To be considered for this role you MUST have 3 years + experience working as an Account Manager or a Desk based Sales Executive in the IT/Communications industry.

The successful applicant will be tasked with managing anything from 20-40 accounts with spends of upto £100k P/A.

Package

  • Salary is £40k-£50k, OTE is £40k-£50k

  • Commission Structure paid on margin at a set %

  • £5,000 car allowance

    Responsibilities

  • Growth, development and management of the existing accountbase.

  • Manage customer relationships in order to grow and retain existing customerrevenues.

  • Introduce, actively promote and sell new IT services from across the group portfolio to new andexisting customers.

  • Performance will be measured against pre-defined targets for growth of the existing and new customer margin.

  • The Account Management role is to manage each assigned customer through regular contact bytelephone, email, face to face customer review /re-signmeetings.

  • Prepare and submit all documentation relating to existing customer contracts to enable changes to bemade as/when required.

  • Prepare and maintain on CRM a monthly forecast and pipeline reports to your direct report for inclusion inthe salesforecasts.

    Skills

  • Experience in creating, managing, negotiating and closing servicecontracts

  • Demonstrate key relationships with market leading vendors such as Cisco, Miteland HP

  • An understanding of the market place and the requirements of ourcustomers.

  • Clearly articulate how IT Solutions deliver Customer BusinessValue

  • Degree standard (desirable) OR significant demonstrable experience within the CommercialSector.

  • Be able to establish consistent thorough pipeline management, of at least three times target in any givenperiod.

  • Be able to deliver against all key commission plan targets (margin/orderintake).
