The role of Commercial Reporting Analyst has responsibility for providing monthly management reporting and P&L forecasting for the UK&I Tour Operator. You will be providing an effective suite of reports, KPIs and business information to the commercial reporting manager, Head of Commercial Finance, finance business partners and the central FP&A team.The role will act as the main interface between the UK&I Tour Operator finance teams and the FP&A team, whilst improving the co-ordination of activities and ways of working.
What you will be doingPerformance reporting – responsible for all areas of commercial performance reporting including month end flash reporting, management accounts, variance analysis and monthly forecasting. Produce reports and data for the commercial business partners to facilitate commercial decision making. Support business units in identifying ways of reducing costs and challenging existing processes where appropriate.Ownership of divisional KPIs and reporting / monitoring of them. Support the preparation of materials for presentations to the board, Group and other areas of the business.Performance evaluation – provide relevant financial information to divisional finance director and finance business partners as required to support their business partnering activities. Ensure that performance information is consistent and aligned to ensure meaningful consolidation and comparability. Work closely with finance business partners to identify opportunities to improve commercial performance.HFM – Ownership of divisional actuals and forecast within HFM ensuring reconciliation with the ledger and comparatives are stated on a consistent basis. Provide full HFM P&L commentary to Audit.Budgeting – Assist finance business partner team with divisional submissions, critique and challenge. Translate Group requirements and expectations to develop the divisional annual budget and set of financial KPIs. Report the divisional budget to the central FP&A team.Forecasting – Work with the Commercial Finance teams and to update the commercial financial forecast for current year, based on current performance, changing market conditions and updated plans and initiatives. Audit – assist the accounting team & FP&A team with provision of divisional P&L and forecast audit queries on a quarterly basisGap management – Work with finance business partners and divisional management to identify options and corrective actions to eliminate gaps in performance against target. Monitor risks and opportunities and ensure that these are reflected in forecast and central FP&A data.
