Your new role
The firm's London office requires a paralegal to join its Commercial Property team on a permanent basis. You will support lawyers from a range of disciplines, including construction, planning & environmental, and some property litigation. Duties will include file opening and administration, carrying out money laundering processes, dealing with search requests for property transactions, and collating results. You will also collate and part prepare reports, and make SDLT submission. You will make Land Registry applications and conduct post completion administration, alongside file closure and archiving. You will carry out legal research on new issues, and provide assistance with marketing material development. You will assist fee earners at all levels with tasks delegated by the supervisor, for example drafting documents and helping with reports to clients. You will familiarise yourself with procedures and system operations required of fee earners within the firm. This includes case management, file opening, archiving, money laundering compliance, billing, and accounts procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
You have strong academics, and experience of conveyancing processes and procedures. The LPC is preferred, although not essential. You have strong document management experience, are confident using IT systems and Office applications, and can communicate effectively,
