To own the commercial relationship and be a key escalation point with defined MSA and Portfolio Site Providers (SP), to secure the required commercial agreements to support and deliver CTIL business requirements, plus manage the SP within a definedContract & Commercial Management framework to support the delivery of CTIL operational targets for the SP sites and to maintain effective relationships with the providers, through effective governance.


Contract & Commercial Management

Effectively and in line with the Governance Schedule manage and maintain accurate and appropriate governance with the MSA/Portfolio partner, in order to mage the partner to deliver against their SLA/KPI deliverables, whilst ensuring CTIL are delivering against their obligations.

Relationship & Strategic Management

To understand CTIL and parent requirements relevant to the portfolio and ensure a positive relationship within a key Stakeholder Management framework, and ensure there is a long-term strategy to optimize the relationship from a CTIL perspective. Seek and gain Management buy in to proposed strategy before engaging with the SP

Negotiate with SP

Lead the negotiation of new Master agreement(s) with each site provider either directly or via an appointed agent. Act as principal point of contact (both internally and externally) throughout negotiations. Own the resolution of issues impacting the negotiation (Estates Management, Legal, Commercial and Operational) providing regular updates on progress as required

Deliver Master / Principle Agreements & Renewals

Manage Legal support to deliver finalized agreements and manage these agreements through the relevant CTIL and shareholder company governance processes

Agreement Handover (Acquisition & Finance Team)

Prepare full "Contract Pack" to support all impacted organisations including Acquisition, Estates, Finance and Shareholders defining high level processes to support the agreement, relevant sites, commercials and financial summaries, + payment schedules and any other pertinent information required.

Support Delivery

Support when appropriate the requirements of CTIL (and shareholder) Operational Teams by engaging with SP. Support escalations from the CTIL teams as necessary through regular engagement/contact & meetings with Site Provider. Foster and maintain effective/positive relationships with SP at all required levels to deliver the above

Commercial Ownership

Ensure that plans are developed and delivered across CTIL to meet the defined commercial objectives for the Site Provider, driving long-term additional cost reduction initiatives as appropriate.

Continual Process Improvement

Where it adds new / fresh and appropriate commercial and or operational benefit, or overcome deficiencies and shortfalls in CTIL and parent business processes that impact the relationship with the portfolio and make recommendations to improve and/or drive process improvement as appropriate

Compliance & Security

To support and contribute actively to health and safety, environmental, business continuity and information security arrangements that meets our obligations to our customers

Health & Safety

Adhere to and ensure complete consistency across the Site Providers of CTIL and Industry H&S obligations. Always ensure H&S is at the forefront of all and any commercial decision.


Required (minimum)


Experience (technical, managerial, industry)

Significant commercial property negotiation & account management experience.Successful negotiation track record of fostering strong inter-personal relationships.

Telecoms property experience.

Commercial Account Mgt experience.

Experience of operationalisation of volume related commercial deals. Experience of operating at board level

Education level / Qualifications (professional, vocational)

Educated to 'A’ level standard or equivalent

Member of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors or MCIPS.

Skills / Knowledge

Commercial acumen, influencing skills, relationship management, IT literacy (Excel intermediate level). Negotiating & Resolution Dispute skills

Ability to present at board level. Project Management skills. Finance and business case modelling experience. Property related Legal awareness. Process development and process compliance experience
