Commercial Paralegal, Tourist Body, London, 6 month FTC, up to £30,000
Your new company
This non-departmental public body was established in April 2003, and is tasked with marketing Britain to the world, wile promoting and develop England's visitor economy. The organisation requires a paralegal to join its Central London office on a 6 month contract.
Your new role
You will provide direct support to the General Counsel and Company Secretary, gaining fantastic exposure working within a small team. Your duties will include drafting, reviewing, and amending legal documents, including standard T&Cs, Partnership agreements, Supplier Agreements, NDAs, attendance notes, reports and statements of case. You will also create and update legal precedents. You will resolve legal enquiries from business units, including drafting advice to clients, conducting legal research, proof reading legal documents and communicating with clients in person, over the phone and in writing. You will also deal with ad hoc matters when directed by the GC, which will include drafting and dealing with correspondence on a number of legal and governance issues. When necessary, you will update the Corporate Risk Register, Register of Interests, Register of Gifts & Hospitality, and carry out other statutory obligations including filings and the maintenance of records.
What you'll need to succeed
You have completed your LPC / BPTC. You ideally have two years' previous paralegal experience in some of the following areas: commercial contracts, corporate law, data protection & privacy, IP, employment law, property law and dispute resolution and litigation. You have strong written and verbal communication skills, and possess excellent rafting, research and analytical skills.
