Commercial Manager Opportunity – Tier 2 Contractor in North-West London

Role Overview

Position: Commercial Manager
Location: North-West London
Reporting to: Managing Director
Salary: £110-£120K (DOE)

Key Responsibilities

Pre-construction Leadership:

  • Lead the commercial strategy during the pre-construction phase.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive project planning and budgeting.

Financial Management:

  • Oversee budgeting, cost control, and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project finances rigorously to ensure alignment with company objectives and client expectations.

Contract Management:

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
  • Ensure terms are favourable and mitigate risks effectively.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks through proactive analysis and strategic planning.
  • Implement measures to safeguard project profitability and compliance.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to drive cohesive project delivery.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that prioritizes communication and problem-solving.

Client Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on commercial matters.

Performance Analysis:

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and analysis to evaluate project profitability.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Uphold the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism in all commercial activities.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: Significant experience in both Surveying and Pre-Construction.
  • Sector Knowledge: Extensive experience in Residential, Commercial, Education, and Industrial projects.
  • Attitude: Hands-on, can-do attitude with a strong track record of career stability.
  • Company Fit: Ideally suited for candidates with a background in small to medium-sized businesses.
