I am recruiting a number of interim Commercial Manager roles at Transport for London.
Your new company
Transport for London are looking to recruit a number of interim Commercial Managers into a number of their teams; be it within their projects team or London trams team. The contracts on offer are circa 5 to 12 month contracts and will all fall inside IR35. This means you may only be paid through an umbrella company or PAYE.
Your new role
Within these roles you will be required to lead on both pre and post contracts management. You will be responsible for leading on the cradle to grave procurement process from writing the procurement strategy, drafting recommendations, going out to market by running the ITT process, liaising with bidders and setting the criteria and running the evaluations. Many of the contracts you will be tendering for could fall within engineering, vehicles, plant and materials to name a few. As well as procurement, you may also be involved in contracts management, ensuring the agreed deliverables are being achieved.
What you'll need to succeed
I am looking to speak with experienced procurement and contracts management professionals who can communicate effectively with all stakeholders both verbally and in writing. You will have worked within a public sector procurement role previously and will therefore be able to hit the ground running. It would be beneficial if you have previously worked at TFL or in a role that required you to follow the utilities regulations. Our client will consider candidates with a generalist background but if you have procured within materials, components or goods and services, that would be a huge bonus.
What you'll get in return
These are exciting opportunities where the work that you do will directly affect London commuters. You will get ownership of your own procurement projects that you will be expected to run with.
