Financial Services is a key area of the business within the UK & Ireland market, selling a wide portfolio of products using a number of different suppliers, from Foreign Exchange and Travel Insurance through to Money Transfer, Gift Cards and Credit Cards. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, the Commercial Manager is part of a team responsible for delivering the Financial Services budget across Retail & Online.

What you will be doing

The Commercial Manager will drive the management of the TUI Group relationships with a portfolio of Financial Services suppliers, developing excellent working relationships and providing outstanding account management. You will implement clearly defined strategic plans for key partners, nationally and regionally, for your designated suppliers.  You will subsequently manage the strategic imperatives derived from the account plan as required, providing pertinent MI/reporting as agreed between TUI and supplier.

There is a strong need for the Commercial Manager to have a passion for driving sales results and be able to pro-actively identify new initiatives to increase our profitability, through both the Retail and Online sales channels. There will be a need to undertake financial analysis and interpret MI to enable effective and timely decisions to deliver the sales results and maximise commercial earnings. You will ensure RSM commercial plans are in place and support overarching strategic plans. We would expect supplier commercial contracts to be maintained and filed in the event of any supplier issues or risks.

Key aspects of the role will include the need to provide effective communications on Financial Services products and campaigns. In addition the Commercial Manager would be expected to provide market intelligence and competitor feedback to ensure that TUI UK remains competitive at all times, providing RSM regional reporting and attending regional and divisional meetings to cascade messages across the year as appropriate.

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for creating the incentive, promotion and marketing plans with all Suppliers, where appropriate, and internal stakeholders. The Commercial Manager will work with the Marketing team and suppliers to design and deliver compelling marketing and communication materials for all channels to achieve the Financial Services budget whilst ensuring all marketing materials produced are compliant with FCA and Mastercard regulations.

In order to increase our retail team knowledge and sell more Financial Services products the Commercial Manager will develop training plans alongside supplier & TUI training team, identifying and implementing new ways of increasing product knowledge whilst ensuring compliance is at the forefront of any sales/conversations.

The Commercial Manager will form proactive and effective working partnerships with key internal stakeholders including the Retail and Online Management teams.

The Commercial Manager will have line manager responsibility for the Commercial Executive.
