You will be required to manage a small commercial team, and lead from the front in maximising growth for this department. A key part of this role will be the ability to win new business, so you will need to have a track record of new business production in your current broking role. There will also be a servicing aspect to this position once clients are on board, so you will also need to be an excellent relationship manager!
You will handle an array of commercial business from small SME clients up to larger businesses.
You will need to have around 3-5 years commercial broking experience, have a natural flair for new business production and be very career minded, to take full advantage of this excellent opportunity. Experience in package, combined, D&O, liability, professional indemnity, property owners and claims would be an advantage.
Working in a paperless office, a knowledge of Acturis would be useful but not essential.
For the right person there is potential to expand the commercial lines department going forward, and as a medium size business, help expand the business further, and an opportunity of being part of the business in the future.
Office hours are Monday to Friday 9 to 5.30
20 days holiday a year plus bank holidays, and traditionally this broker closes between Christmas and New Year in addition to the normal holiday entitlement!
Salary on offer is £25-35k depending on skills and experience, plus bonuses and pension.
