This role would provide the successful applicant with a fantastic opportunity to become a key part of deciding the company's direction by providing key commercial and decision support to senior management team. You will be responsible for business partnering with a number of key managers across the business, bringing financial objectivity, challenge and insight to proactively support the business. This will be a varied and fast paced job role which will require you to manage a busy workload and prioritise to ensure deadlines are met.
My client feels this position would best suit a Cima part qualified accountant who has a strong grounding in commercial accounting. Ideally you will have had exposure to applying these skills within a Manufacturing environment although open to considering candidates who can demonstrate the appropriate experience if it is gained within a different industry.
-Create site P&L budget / quarterly forecasts, demonstrating an understanding of the key drivers, to inform local operational and strategic decision making.
-Identify, challenge and proactively satisfy internal customer requirements to provide information, interpretation and insight to the business and site teams to promote effective delivery of site performance.
-Continuously review business practices to make recommendations for changes which will enhance cost efficiency
-Provide leadership and direction to the assistant financial analysts to ensure they are engaged, focused, developed and delivering their potential
-Use extracts and analysis produced by the Assistant Financial Analyst to prepare weekly management accounts
-Produce variance analysis to deliver the monthly, quarterly and half yearly Group packs
-Develop or validate new product pricing, costing, margin analysis to support new business presentations
The Ideal Candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:
- Part Qualified (CIMA,ACA, ACCA, CPA) or QBE
- Ability to lead and coach direct reports
- Numerate and literate
- Ability to challenge and influence key stakeholders
- Strong communication and organisational skills
