Commercial Director Role - About the Company

Our client is a leading Retail research specialist with an enviable reputation for delivering high quality research to High Street retailers and Financial Services providers. They are looking for a talented and driven Commercial Director to take commercial responsibility for their business and lead the development of their propositions across their portfolio of services - primarily in the areas of Store Observation and Customer Experience Measurement - from both new and existing clients. The Commercial Director will also play a key role in the strategic leadership and future success of their overall business.

Commercial Director Role - About the Role

Specific responsibilities of the role include:
- achieving revenue / gross profit targets from existing and new clients
- leading concept development, marketing and identification of new business opportunities
- playing a lead role in shaping the future of the overall business
- supporting ongoing key customer relationships and identifying opportunities to develop senior level client relationships and drive upselling
- winning new clients and developing and maintaining strong relationships with these accounts
- inspiring a high-performing client service and project team
- coordinating expert consultant resources supporting proposition development and prospecting

Commercial Director Role - About You

To be in contention for securing this role, you must possess a highly commercial approach and have a proven track record in customer relationship development and management skills. You will have experience of success in new business within the Market Research industry, ideally with specific experience of Mystery Shopping and/or Store Observation services. A good knowledge of the Retail is a given, and our client is looking for someone with strategic awareness as well as strong planning, coaching, and delegation skills.
