We need help making our business become as big and secure as it possibly can be. But, we can’t do it without you. Take this role we are searching for right now, it’s a Commercial Manager and you will:
Be responsible for owning the commercial planning and decision making for multiple medium to high complexity customer opportunities, maximising the commercial outcome.
Plan, shape and implement effective winning commercial response strategies through customer and competitor insight
Influence the bid plan of opportunities pursued. Define and agree the steps required to create the business proposal including identification of stakeholders and agreeing timings of deliverables.
Identify early any emerging contract issues and competitive threats and devise and drive actions plans to protect Vodafone's interests.
If you can accomplish the above, you’ve got what it takes. Realistically though, we need someone who understands others and adapts style to build open relationships and to deliver results through influence and assertiveness. Educated to degree level or equivalent will add a lot of credibility. Most important will be your experience in developing and managing complex commercial opportunities with a track record of delivering results.
If you are capable of demonstrating an understanding of contract terminology, contract clauses and methods of procurement and contracting you’ll be able to accelerate your effectiveness and impact. Hands-on experience in creating business cases, producing cost budgets, creating pricing structures and applying analytical decision making is really important as well as an appreciation of an organisation's products and services and the markets in which they are sold.
