Energy Services is a segment of npower, supporting the Home and Business and Business Solutions’ segments. The Contract team is committed to seeking value for our customers and npower within the supplier contracts which we manage, seeking innovative solutions and driving continuous improvements which focus on commercial finance and optimisation of agents performance.
Day to day will see your contract management skills and knowledge put to good use, developing KPI’s and performance frameworks to drive performance out of the contracts and drive continuous improvement. Your understanding of segment requirements is key to you being creative in your solutions to meet your stakeholder's needs. You will then be best placed to identify demand against a forecast for your contracts, whilst understanding the contract terms and impacts to the business will help managing risks and seeking out opportunities to optimise.
Building sound relationships with suppliers and understanding how they operate is important as this will support you in defining KPI’s and managing their performance to the agreed terms, you’ll set up regular supplier meetings to review and challenge any performance issues. This is where you get to provide innovative solutions taking into consideration the contract and where appropriate implement any improvement plans, including the development and renegotiation of contracts.
The environment is dynamic and fast-paced; no day is ever the same with an ever-changing landscape. To thrive in this role we are looking for you to have a background in supplier contract management, strong commercial acumen and be experienced in commercial analysis to aid contract optimisation. And of course, you’ll need to demonstrate that you have put in place KPI’s and governance and frameworks to deliver continuous improvement. An outgoing personality works well with stakeholders internal and external and at all levels to building strong relationships, and be a key influence in the negotiation or renegotiation of contracts.
