Commercial Claims Handler

A long and well established major commercial brokerage has a new vacancy in the North East for a Claims Handler. The role will involve being responsible for the presentation, negotiation and settlement of commercial claims. You will obtain the necessary details of the claim from the client and arrange for the appropriate claim form to be sent, assisting in the completion of the form where necessary in order for this to be forwarded to the insurer together with supporting documentation. You will liaise closely with the Account Executives and Loss Adjusters as appropriate in order to progress the claim and assist underwriters by providing claims history and statistics for renewal negotiations.

Prospective applicants will require previous claims experience gained preferably within a broking environment, although consideration will be given to candidates from a company background. Progress towards relevant professional qualifications preferred.
