Our client is looking to recruit a highly commercial, "business facing" business analyst into the Head Office team. Having completed a complex SAP & Promax implementation, there is a requirement to appoint a business analyst who; along with having full end to end ownership of the Trade Promotions processes and systems; will be expected to fully interface and partner with the key commercial functions; facilitating and providing solutions in order to ensure benefits are fully realised.
Global FMCG Brand. This role is based in Manchester.
This is a genuinely key hire for our client, and therefore expectations are high. The need to recruit a talented "business facing" business analyst is the priority, but there is also a very strong succession planning motivation behind this appointment. As such there are a number of criteria that go above and beyond the standard 'technical' business analyst profile.
The Commercial Business Analyst will be supporting the embedding of the new Global processes and systems and will specifically be responsible for the commercial processes of Trade Promotions. Reporting into the European Applications Lead, the Commercial Business Analyst will work as part of a small and highly efficient team, acting as the conduit between the IT function and the business; interfacing predominantly with the Sales, Marketing and Commercial Finance functions. The Commercial Business Analyst will translate business requirements into functional specifications, facilitating workshops, providing solutions and ensuring that benefits and return on investment are fully realised and communicated in a timely and efficient manner. There is also an expectation that this individual will drive continuous improvement as the businesses continues to do more with less.
The technical ability of the Commercial Business Analyst will be a given. What is equally important to our client is that this individual can deal with ambiguity, will seek out solutions and will truly partner with the business. This individual needs to think commercially and strategically and drive business benefits.
To be successful in your application, you must have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Educated to degree level;
- Excellent knowledge of commercial processes; gained by exposure to ERP implementations or working in a business environment;
- Experience of Trade Promotions, planning and management processes, ideally gained in a FMCG or retail business;
