Major international insurance brokerage is currently recruiting for a Commercial Insurance Account Handler to join the Corporate team in Leeds. Your key responsibilities will involve working with senior managers to ensure the highest level of service to each assigned client. Liaising with Managers to fully understand clients business and insurance requirements including visits to client.
You will take ownership of problems and their resolution, seeking assistance where necessary, updating company systems per agreed parameters and identifying improvements in client risk and insurance programme design. Negotiating with insurers renewal terms, mid-term adjustments and cover extensions. Fully supporting the broking function to achieve optimum solution for the client. Preparation of comprehensive marketing presentations and the renewal report, working with the Broking Managers to prepare full cover comparisons as required.
Co-ordinating global programmes and effectively communicating with the global network and Global Risks. Identifying revenue development opportunities on allocated client accounts and making recommendations to Client Managers and acting as an escalation point for colleagues in relation to contract certainty queries, mentoring others as appropriate.
Applicants applying for this vacancy must hold relevant technical commercial insurance knowledge. Able to demonstrate good communication, decision making and problem solving skills. Ability to co-ordinate activities within a cross-functional team and to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service. Some progress with professional industry recognised qualifications. Polite, professional and a clear communicator. Knowledge of Lotus Notes, MS Office and the Internet.
