Our client is seeking a commercial account handler with a minimum of two to three years commercial experience - gained in either a brokerage or an Insurer

The focus of the role is:-

To assist The Account Executive with portfolio of existing clients accounts on a day to day basis including issuing pre renewal, renewal and post renewal insurance documentation.

  • To support senior staff and other colleagues in the day to day management of large or complex risks.

  • To liaise with other Company business units to ensure the efficient and effective management of all client-related activities including accounts, claims, policy and other activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare quotations in accordance with department procedure manual, including using rating schedules where applicable. Identify all terms, conditions and policy warranties which are applicable to the cover and ensure that these are provided to the client in a clear and fair format.

  • Provide all appropriate documentation, ensuring that all the documents are sent in accordance with department procedure manual.

  • Develop new opportunities or cross sell

  • Respond to both internal and external customer queries within the time-scale as set out in the company service standards or department procedure manual standards to ensure that these are resolved effectively. Where necessary refer any enquiries which fall outside of your own knowledge and experience to a more appropriate colleague.

  • Prepare and initiate renewals with clients and or agents within the time-scale as set out in the company service standards or department procedure manual standards prior to renewal.

  • Undertake other tasks within the company that a Director or senior manager requires that are fair and reasonable, based on your experience and knowledge.

Core Skills:

Be able to prioritise and organise own workload to ensure that deadlines are adhered to

Be able to develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers and contacts.

Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in an appropriate business style.

Technical Skills: - Progression with CII exams very helpful

  • To be able to prepare day to day documentation.
