I am pleased to announce that we have a requirement for a Specialist Collector, to join the business on an initial 12 month fixed term contract basis.
The successful individual will manage a portfolio of accounts to facilitate appropriate outcomes for customers, in order to apply a commercial view & assist the customer by offering an excellent collections service.

Key Responsibilities

• Use all available methods to initiate and maintain contact with customers to ensure that a positive outcome is achieved.
• To carry out an Income & Expenditure for customers to calculate appropriate affordability
• To take payments effectively and efficiently from customers to ensure accounts are accurately updated.
• To set payment plans for customers that is appropriate for both the business and the customer.
• Identify if customers are vulnerable to ensure they are referred to CSD to offer appropriate forbearance where required.
• To identify if a customer is showing dissatisfaction to ensure a complaint is ensuring the relevant outcome is established.
• To escalate the correct next stage of action to the litigation department to instigate appropriate litigation proceedings.
• Approach each call with an empathetic manner to ensure the customer has a positive outcome whilst also adhering to the company quality standards
• Managing a portfolio of accounts and assessing the credit risk of existing customers ensuring an appropriate exit strategy is established.

Skills and Qualifications Required

• Proven experience in a collections environment
• Knowledge of litigation process for secured charges
• Experience of using CRM systems
• Experience of working on a dialler system
• Knowledge of MS SharePoint
