CNC Setter Operator

The overall purpose of the role:
To be responsible for setting and operating CNC machine tools, both Fixed head lathes and Vertical Machining centres, with Fanuc controls, to produce a range of components from a variety of raw materials, in compliance with official documents such as BOM`s, drawings, process sheets, etc. within our ISO 9000 and Health and Safety procedures.

Some of the main duties and responsibilities will be as follows:
To accurately interpret drawing specifications and produce components accordingly, submitting the first off each batch for checking and thereafter maintaining the standard for the batch. Additionally, to carry out first off checks for other CNC Setters when required.
Your primary duty will be to set and operate our Brother machining centres, Tornos Decos CNC sliding head lathes and multi-axis CNC Fixed head lathes.
Skilled in the use of Fanuc programming language, and working co-operatively within our framework for 'Global Excellence in Manufacturing', you will deliver high quality components to meet the needs of our pump assembly operations.
Relevant previous experience is essential and must be supported by engineering and engineering technology qualifications; most likely gained through an advanced apprenticeship. In-house process and machine familiarisation training will be provided.
This position will require you to work to a shift rota covering a standard 38 hour working week.
