CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator / CNC Machinist – Dudley (Permanent Day Shift)

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator / CNC Machinist – Dudley to join our well-established client based in Dudley on a full-time permanent basis. Shifts
• Day shift
• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm

Salary
• £16.50 – £17.00 per hour
• £31,317 – £32,266 per annum
• Overtime available

Day-to-Day Duties
• Set up, program, and operate CNC milling machines and horizontal borers
• Carry out milling, boring, and general machining operations
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, including machining symbols, tolerances, and geometric tolerances
• Conduct quality checks using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and slip gauges
• Work flexibly to support production and complete additional duties as required
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures, company standards, and regulatory requirements
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop

Essential Skills
• Experience with medium to large milling and boring operations
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
• Ability to check own work using precision measuring equipment
• Experience in a subcontract or precision machining environment
• Completed engineering apprenticeship, CNC Machinist training, or proven practical experience

Desirable Skills
• Heidenhain programming experience preferred
• Fanuc control knowledge beneficial

Training Provided
• On-the-job training to familiarise with machines, processes, and company standards
• Ongoing support to develop technical, programming, and machining skills
