CNC Production Machinist

I have a fantastic opportunity for an apprentice trained, focused and hardworking Production Machinist for a presitgious client based in Sheffield.

The role covers machining forgings and tooling from specified drawings across both manual and CNC machining centres.

We will consider CNC machinists form aerospace or automotive background within precision engineering.

Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (overtime available).

Duties and Responsibilities include:

*Read and understand engineering drawings and recording results manually
*Working 4 on 4 off shift patters plus overtime if needed
*Strong emphasis on quality
*Conducts pre-operations inspections to ensure machine is ready to be operated in
safe and efficient manner
*Use of measuring equipment
*Machine setting
*Maintains a safe and organised workstation and follows all company policies and
safety procedures

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

*Excellent attitude to work and attention to detail
*Precision engineering background- working to +/- 0.25 tolerance
*Setting and running CNC or manual machinery milling/turning
*Experience of working within a machine shop environment
*Experience of working at a fast pace
*Great communication and teamwork skills
