CNC Sliding Head Setter

Our well-established client, located in Hertfordshire, is a leading force in precision manufacturing. They specialise in delivering high-quality components to various industries, and take pride in their commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a skilled and dedicated Star Sliding Head CNC Machine Setter and Operator to join their team.

What you will be doing:

Set up and operate Star and Hanwha Sliding Head CNC machines to produce precision components based on engineering drawings and specifications.

Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Monitor machine output, make necessary adjustments, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.

Perform inspections on finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.

The Package

  • Salary Range: £35,000 - £45,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Monday to Friday 7:15 am–4:15 pm, 7:15 am–2:45 pm 30
  • Saturday overtime available at time and one half 7:00 am – 11:00 am
  • Onsite parking

  • Profit share scheme after probationary period

What we need from you:

Proven experience as a Sliding Head CNC Machine Setter and Operator.

Proficient in interpreting and working from engineering drawings and specifications.

Strong knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, and machining processes.

Ability to perform routine maintenance on CNC machines.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
