Team Bath Athletics Club (TBAC) has approximately 800 members from age 8 to over 70. Members train and compete in Track and Field, and endurance running events. There is a '365’ program run on a termly basis that introduces children 8-12 to all aspects of athletics. The club is based at the Sports Training Village of the University of Bath but is quite separate from the university organisation.

The purpose of the job is to manage administrative affairs for the Club. This includes, but is not limited to, membership, Junior 365 programme, basic enquiries, club desk on training nights, payroll calculation for coaching and other staff, and maintaining membership and banking financial records.

The successful applicant will be paid to work 24 hours in an average week, though the nature of the job is that there are peaks and troughs in workload. 5 of the weekly hours must be spent staffing the reception and enquiry desk at the University of Bath Sports Training Village from 1750 to 2020 on Tuesday and Thursday club nights. The remaining hours can be completed flexibly and are based at home. There may be the very occasional need to attend on a Sunday morning for an hour.

The ideal candidate would have some experience of administration of community organisations and be confident in dealing with members of the public. He or she must be comfortable with web-based applications (e.g. membership database), spread sheet and email work and be able to operate independently. The administrator will act under the guidance of and report to the club manager and to the trustee board member responsible for membership and finance.

Salary range £13 - £14k (£20-22k Fte. Pro Rata).

Job descriptions, person specification, club development plan and more information will be available on request.

Applications should be in the form of a CV and covering letter of application naming two referees, one of whom is the current or most recent employer.

Applicants not previously familiar with the club are invited to visit the club informally on a Tue or Thursday training night. We will contact you to offer this when we receive your application.
