Cloud Engineer

Are you a seasoned IT professionalwith a passion for both traditionalinfrastructure and cutting edge cloudtechnologies? We're looking for aCloud Engineer to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of our IT landscape. As our IT team are responsible for overseeing the entire commercial sector of the wider group, this role would be an excellent move for someone who is used to working in an MSP environment and can take on project work across both RMG and other subsidiaries within the group

Role Overview:

This hybrid role blends the responsibilities of an Infrastructure Engineer with those of a Cloud Engineer. You'll ensure the stability, performance, and security of our IT infrastructure while driving innovation through cloud adoption and automation. You'll work across on premises and cloudenvironments (Azure and AWS) supporting critical systems and leadinginfrastructuretransformation projects.

Where will I be working?

You will be based at our offices in Northwich, CW9 7LN. This is a hybrid role 3 days per week in the office and 2 from home

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilientinfrastructure solutions across cloud and on-premises platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, acting as a 3rd/4th line escalation point.
• Leadinfrastructure upgrades, migrations, and deployments with minimal disruption.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including build guides and topology diagrams.
• Collaboratewithcross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance withsecurity standards and conduct vulnerability assessments.
• Provide warranty and post-deploymentsupport, ensuring smooth transition to operations.
• Mentor and upskill IT Service Desk and junior engineers.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

• Proven experience in IT infrastructureengineering and cloudenvironments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and AWS,
• Previous experience working with Citrix
• Expertise in virtualization, networking, storage, and server technologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Strong communication and documentationabilities.

Preferred:

• Familiaritywith hybrid-cloud environments and serverless architecture.
• Previous experience in a similar enterprise-scaleenvironment.
