Cloud Consultant with extensive Linux & AWS experience sought by multi-award consultancy recently selected to join the coveted AWS Well-Architected Framework at their offices in Central Manchester in close proximity to Piccadilly station making commuting from around the North West straight forward.

The successful Cloud Consultant will be get unrivalled opportunity to work on multi-million pound projects using cutting edge technology for some of the nation’s biggest household names across media, healthcare, financial services & many more!

In order to be considered, you should have skills in most of:

-Strong commercial experience of managing complex multi-tier enterprise infrastructure environments

-Excellent Linux/Unix system administration skills

-Extensive experience using AWS

-In-depth configuration management, automation and scripting skills inc use of a scripting language eg Python or Ruby, proficiency with shell scripting (e.g. BASH)

-In-depth knowledge of platform and application automated deployment technologies (e.g. Cobbler, Puppet, Chef, Tivoli Provisioning Manager, Foreman)

-Exposure to iterative/agile development methodologies (SCRUM, XP, DSDM, RUP)

-Exposure to continuous integration and build tools

-Use of source code version control

Understanding of software and infrastructure architecture

-Good database knowledge and SQL skills (on an enterprise database such as Oracle or EnterpriseDB)

-In depth knowledge of virtualisation platforms and cloud orchestration technologies such as VSphere, vDirector, Xenserver, Xen, Cloudstack and Openstack

Brief Role Overview:

-Project Delivery: the day-to-day responsibility for technical aspects of a project, both internally and at client sites
-Managing, supporting, maintaining and improving the project’s infrastructure, automation, continuous integration system and application release process
-Acting as a bridge between operations and development teams
