Your new role
As the Research Project Manager you will project manage the development and trials of their wearable medical device technologies, both within the scope of grant-funded projects and internally funded ongoing development.
You will act as the product champion across the business and in external representation to the suppliers, partners and customers. This is an exciting chance to develop your career with a first-rate company.
The key responsibilities of a Research Project Manager include, but are not limited to:
Championing the medical products internally and externally, liaising with academics, health care professionals and Knowledge Opinion Leaders to promote the products. Also ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements in accordance with study protocols, having a working knowledge of relevant EU Medical Device Directives and global standards.
You will be taking responsibility for work planning and plan management (GANTT), resource management (workload) and cost management for grant funded projects (over £1m), as well as project documentation (goals, requirements, tasks) to ensure outcomes can be measured.
Taking responsibility for risk identification and management, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders with internal teams. You will be responsible for sub-contractor management, and integrating project plans with an over-arching product roadmap.
What you'll need to succeed
Extensive industry experience, able and willing to confidently make decisions within the boundary of your remit.
Being familiar with the clinical requirements for trials and practical experience in their organisation and execution.
You have experience in managing a Medical Device study. Technology background and understanding is highly beneficial.
You have at least a degree level education and are PRINCE certified or equivalent (such as Agile).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and be able to work as part of a team and independently, managing one's workload efficiently
